Celebration Luncheon 2003!

Each October during national Arts and Humanities month, the Council sponsors an awards luncheon to recognize outstanding humanities leadership in New Jersey. The occasion, also the major fundraiser for NJCH, will take place on October 26, 2003. Join us in honoring this year's award recipients:

Civic Leadership Award:	Governor Thomas H. Kean
Public Humanities Award:	The Fund for New Jersey
Humanities Citizen Award:	Jackson Lears
NJCH Book Award:	A Jew in America: My Life and a People’s Struggle for Identity, by Arthur Hertzberg More information and past winners

Helping to honor the recipients will be: The Honorable Thomas H. Kean, Jr.; David Grant, Executive Director of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation; and, Barry V. Qualls, Dean of Humanities, Rutgers University.

Humanities Festival Week 2003
This year’s festival will celebrate the theme "Fostering Community: Connecting People, Cultures, and Ideas." Libraries, museums, historical societies, and religious and community organizations throughout New Jersey will host events that explore this theme.
