Celebration
Luncheon 2003!
Each October
during national Arts and Humanities month, the Council sponsors
an awards luncheon to recognize outstanding humanities leadership
in New Jersey. The occasion, also the major fundraiser for NJCH,
will take place on October 26, 2003. Join us in honoring this year's
award recipients:
Helping to honor
the recipients will be: The Honorable Thomas H. Kean, Jr.; David
Grant, Executive Director of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation;
and, Barry V. Qualls, Dean of Humanities, Rutgers University.
Raffle!!
Don’t miss out on this year’s raffle! We are delighted
to be raffling off a beautiful ceramic vessel created by Bennett
Bean valued at $6000. The proceeds of the raffle will support the
public humanities programs of NJCH. To purchase tickets ($10), please
call us at 1-888-394-6524 or e-mail njch@njch.org.
Humanities
Festival Week 2003
This year’s festival will celebrate the
theme "Fostering Community: Connecting People, Cultures, and
Ideas." Libraries, museums, historical societies, and religious
and community organizations throughout New Jersey will host events
that explore this theme.
