Major & Mini Grants

MAJOR & MINI GRANTS

Please be aware that NJCH has made some exciting changes to its grants program.  For your convenience, the major changes are outlined below.

 

Grant Program – Majors & Minis

Twice yearly, NJCH awards major grants of up to $20,000 in support of public humanities projects through a competitive proposal review process.  Mini grants of up to $3,000 are awarded four times a year.  To learn more or apply, please select one of the following links:

Recent Guideline Changes

• The maximum amount that can be requested for major grants is $20,000.

• Digital Humanities (formerly Media Grants) is an eligible project category.

• Mini Grants are offered four times a year.

• First time applicants with limited staffs that might benefit from the assistance of a humanities

    scholar in developing a public humanities project may request funding for a Planning Mini Grant. 

• Consultation and drafts are required prior to the submission of an application.

• “Justice” is a preferred category

• Drafts and applications must be submitted online.
